Talk with a Lizard
Alice talked with The Cheshire Cat. What would you imagine a talk with a lizard would be like. Here is the dicsussion I had in my head (mostly) with a lizard yesterday after seeing one as I walked along the sidewalk:
"Hellow Mister Lizard," I said as the movement caught my eye, bringing me to a gentle stop. "You don't have to run away from me. Pull up a sun spot and lets talk a while."
"But you'll eat me," said the lizard as he scurried into some shade.
"Well, I have never eaten a lizard before, so I think you are safe. Besides, I am not hungry right now."
The lizard gave me a sceptic look and scurried away. I imagine he, or she -- one cannot tell at this distance -- must have been screaming, in lizards quiet style, as h... Oh drat that political correctness crap. IT ran, in zigzag fasion, on its merry way. And I went on with my day.
What do you suppose you would have said to the lizard and what do you suppose it would have said back?
