Be carefull of people who directly message (DM) you.
I just got approached by someone who contacted me through a DM. They are a member of a shared community but not this one. The person tried to build a relationship but the topic was solely about my writing. I am pretty sure the person was only trying to sell me on their services. I told them the truth, that I don't have any money to spend on editing or publishing service, etc.
To my members, pleae know I am here to help you for free (with limits) so bear that in mind when someone solicits doing something for you for money.
I am sure that many solicitors are truely wanting to help and are probably very capable of doing a good job for you as a ghost writer, editor, or publishing assistant but it will be for a fee, and that is fine. Just know that some may be trying to take your money and run, so please do not pay up front for anything.
Of course you can do what you want but I am just trying to make you aware. They often are identified by a red bar that says their spam risk is High but not always.
