Mini Challenge #5: Calm Through Music 🎶 🌟 This week’s challenge: using music to reset. In our household, music is everything. It help's calm us down when we're overwhelmed or tired, it hypes us up when we're feeling lazy or sluggish, and it connects us when we're feeling disconnected. Both Leon and Sophie LOVE to dance and sing, I've always envisioned myself being able to dance, but I think the best I can manage is a "mum dance" 😂However, singing is a different story for me! Did you know I used to be in a choir? And that I also sung solo's in this choir, and also performed Elvis Presley's - Can't Help Falling in Love to my husband Jack on our wedding day? Obviously my days now are focused on singing a more specific genre of music, specifically Disney songs and nursery rhymes 😂 But I still love exercising my singing voice when given the chance! Music regulates emotions, helps bodies release tension, and creates shared joy, use the challenge this week to just take 5 minutes out of your day to have a good boogie or sing-a-long with your child, who knows what it might spark! 👉 What’s your child’s favourite song to share the joy with right now?
