We're Brendan & Sarah — the humans behind The Village, and two people who decided the "default" life wasn't the only option.
In 2022, everything we knew fell apart overnight. Instead of rebuilding it, we followed the pull toward something wilder — fourteen months of travel, then a derelict plot on Nicaragua's Pacific coast that we hand-built, cabaña by cabaña, into Carpe Diem Eco Retreat. Three years and 450+ amazing souls later, it's become home to a different way of raising kids: child-led, nature-rooted, community-first.
The Village brings that life to families who can't get on a plane tomorrow. Real talk on breaking free from "default," raising genuinely curious kids, building rhythm instead of rigid schedule, and finding your people — guided live by us, every month.
No perfect plan here. Just two people who built one anyway, and a village growing around it.
