A Word of Wisdom From my Levi's Time in the Word
What a beautiful time at our kitchen table today as I was able to steer my son through the word of God in his own learning style (he is 11yrs young). I told him today,
"Kings search things out... and you are not just a normal person. God has spoken with you so many times! It is a relationship with the Father and you as His son... don't be too quick to move on, if He wasn't done with you even though you could be done reading His word..."
He stood contemplating what I said, and went to the LORD in his own awesome way. Asking the Father a question. "Am I done in your word for this morning?" to which the LORD responded; "Are you done in my word this morning?" Levi answered back, "I really do feel like I am done reading..." the LORD spoke once more; "Do you feel you know my heart more and my ways more than before?" "Yes LORD" Levi said in return; "I do LORD, the notes I took definitely showed me more of You." "Then you are done." said the LORD to my son.
I share this because it is so amazing how simple it is to hear from the LORD after being in His Word. Levi already has a great reading habit, but I was led this morning to have him extend it about 10-15min more. These interactions are shaping his life and future in Christ!
