Welcome to The Thriving Child. You found us. That means something.
Whether you pulled your child from a system that failed them, you are just beginning your home education journey, or you simply knew there was a better way — you are in the right place.
Here is where to start:
✦ Step 1 — Go to the Legal Vault. Download the free UK Deregistration Guide, the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 plain English summary, and the LA Letter Templates. Everything you need to understand your legal rights is there right now.
✦ Step 2 — Go to Start Here. Download the free weekly timetable that matches your child's age — ages 3 to 5, 5 to 11, 11 to 14, or GCSE 14 to 16. These are yours immediately as a free member.
✦ Step 3 — Introduce yourself if you'd like. As much or as little as feels right — your name, your child's age, why you're here. That's all you need.
✦ Step 4 — Upgrade to full membership to access all ten classrooms — curriculum guides, SATs and GCSE preparation, SEN resources, wellbeing tools, life skills, growing food, and the faith library. £9 per month. Founding member rate — locks in permanently.
This community was built for every child the system was not enough for. Every deaf child who deserves a story in their own language. Every autistic child who was told they were too much. Every child with ADHD who was told they were not enough. Every family who chose a different path and needed somewhere that truly understood.
A note for May 2026: The Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act became law on 29 April 2026. Many families are feeling unsettled. The most important thing to know: nothing changes overnight. Regulations and guidance still have to be drafted, consultations have to happen, and home education has not become unlawful.
This community will help you navigate what's coming — calmly, with accurate information, and without panic. You are not alone in this.
