Seeking knowledge is not only about what you learn. Its about how that knowledge changes you.
Most students today assume they should jump straight into the Islamic sciences.
The Salaf didn’t start with this. They started with mastering how to be from the people of ’ilm.
ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Mubārak said:
“I sought adab for thirty years, then I sought knowledge for twenty years.”
Many of us reverse the order.
We can learn evidences & memorise opinions but if we don’t learn how to carry ourselves as students of knowledge, no one will see us as ṭullāb al-ʿilm.
That’s why many students still struggle with arrogance, harsh speech, pride, envy and lack of Ibādah; because no one taught them tazkiyat an-nafs and adab.
This is a weekly live class focused on self-rectification and building the character of a student by returning to the Raqāʾiq (heart softening) works of the scholars.
