Why Journaling helps
I am on this quest. I am determined to show you how journaling works for a person’s mindset, and you don’t have share your entries to anyone but yourself, but I want to give you an example on how sharing can be therapeutic.
Right now, I am listening to Nia Sioux’s book, Bottom of the Pyramid, and you want to talk about some stuff. Now, everyone has their opinion about Abby Lee Miller. Mine is not favorable at all. As a student of dance, none of my teachers has ever made me feel like I was less than more than Abby Lee has tried to make Nia feel. To me, this book is like Nia’s Journal, as she is letting you know her side of what really happened on Dance Moms, and how she managed to move past it.
I am not saying to turn your journal into a New York best selling book, but write your truth, even if it helps your healing. If need be, hire someone who can get you past the hurt you feel, and help you move past that hurt. We all need to heal no matter what that hurt is. Writing is just one way of doing so, without harming yourself. If you do not Journal, why not give it a try?
