Why Journaling helps
I am on this quest. I am determined to show you how journaling works for a person’s mindset, and you don’t have share your entries to anyone but yourself, but I want to give you an example on how sharing can be therapeutic. Right now, I am listening to Nia Sioux’s book, Bottom of the Pyramid, and you want to talk about some stuff. Now, everyone has their opinion about Abby Lee Miller. Mine is not favorable at all. As a student of dance, none of my teachers has ever made me feel like I was less than more than Abby Lee has tried to make Nia feel. To me, this book is like Nia’s Journal, as she is letting you know her side of what really happened on Dance Moms, and how she managed to move past it. I am not saying to turn your journal into a New York best selling book, but write your truth, even if it helps your healing. If need be, hire someone who can get you past the hurt you feel, and help you move past that hurt. We all need to heal no matter what that hurt is. Writing is just one way of doing so, without harming yourself. If you do not Journal, why not give it a try?

Motivation for Journaling and about Trauma
Everyone needs a little motivation to do what needs to be done, especially when it comes to journaling. Sometimes you do not feel like writing. Trauma is a real thing, and eventually, everyone goes through some trauma. The five main types of trauma are: · Physical TraumaInjury to the body from accidents, violence, or other outside forces. · Emotional or Psychological TraumaEmotional distress that shakes your sense of safety, confidence, or worth. · Developmental TraumaTrauma that happens in childhood from neglect, abuse, or lack of consistent care. · Complex TraumaOngoing or repeated harm, often from long-term abuse or difficult environments. · Secondary or Vicarious TraumaBeing deeply affected by hearing about or witnessing someone else’s trauma. This is for informational purposes only. If you feel like you have gone through any trauma beyond journaling about it, please seek professional help. In the meantime, I have three motivational quotes for you to download and help keep you on the path of journaling.
Journal materials checklist
Congratulations on your Journaling Journey I have always said that you do not need a fancy journaling book to write about your adventures and moments of clarity. All you need is a 1-subject notebook and a pen, or your computer or phone. You can use an old school notebook. Whatever you start with in your writing journey, you do not have to end up with that same system years later. Try writing in a notebook and then compare it to writing entries on a computer. There is no right or wrong way to get started journaling. So, experiment with the different ways to input your entries. This worksheet will help you budget your materials, which are divided into two categories: Budget-friendly and Upgrade Option.
