💨 Late Night Smoke
Long day so keeping it pretty low key tonight. Nothing too wild… but I did want to try the new Deadwood Dominicana from Drew Estate. Definitely curious to see how this one compares to the rest of the Deadwood line with a different profile behind it. Time to finally light it up.

Evening Smoke 💨
Went with a Bolivar Anniversary for this one. This cigar brought some solid strength with it — rich, a little bold, and definitely not one you just breeze through. One of those you sit with and really take your time. Nice way to wind things down for the evening. Anyone else been smoking something with a little more punch lately? 💨

CIGAR OF THE WEEK: PERSIAN KING
Let me break down what makes Persian King special. **THE BASICS:** Brand: Espinosa Origin: Nicaragua Vitola: Toro (6" x 50) Strength: Full Price Range: $7-$9 **FIRST IMPRESSION:** When you light it up, you immediately notice the dark, oily wrapper and the rich, complex aroma. This is a cigar that demands your attention from the first puff. **THE FLAVOR JOURNEY:** 🔹 First Third: Black pepper, leather, dark chocolate, cocoa sweetness — immediate power with balance 🔹 Second Third: Leather, tobacco, pepper, spice, dark chocolate, cedar — strength builds but stays refined 🔹 Final Third: Chocolate, leather, lingering pepper, woody notes — thick smoke to the nub **THE VIBE:** This is a bold, unapologetic cigar. Perfect for when you want something powerful and complex. Not for beginners. **MY TAKE:** Persian King is what happens when a blender knows exactly what they're doing. This cigar has layers, complexity, and power without being overwhelming. It's a statement cigar that respects your palate. **PAIRING SUGGESTION:** Pairs beautifully with bourbon or dark roast coffee. The bourbon brings out the leather and pepper; the coffee creates harmony with the chocolate and spice. --- 💬 HAVE YOU TRIED THIS ONE? CIGAR OF THE WEEK: KNUCKLE SANDWICH CONNECTICUT (JUST DROPPED AT PCA!)
Guy Fieri just released this at PCA, and I had to get my hands on it immediately. Let me break down what makes this special. **THE BASICS:** Brand: Knuckle Sandwich Connecticut (Guy Fieri Cigars) Origin: Nicaragua Vitola: Toro (6" x 50) Strength: Medium-Full Price Range: $9-$13 Status: JUST RELEASED at PCA 2026 **FIRST IMPRESSION:** This is a different animal than the original Knuckle Sandwich. The Connecticut wrapper gives it a lighter, more refined appearance — but don't let that fool you. There's still power underneath. **THE FLAVOR JOURNEY:** 🔹 First Third: Creamy vanilla, cedar, subtle spice, cocoa sweetness — smooth entry with backbone 🔹 Second Third: Leather, chocolate, pepper building, complexity increasing — the Connecticut wrapper shines here, balanced power 🔹 Final Third: Chocolate, leather, lingering spice, woody notes — thick smoke to the nub with a slight sweetness **THE VIBE:** This is Guy's answer to people who wanted Knuckle Sandwich but with a bit more refinement. It's still bold, still powerful, but more accessible than the original. Perfect for when you want something that hits hard but doesn't overwhelm. **MY TAKE:** The Connecticut wrapper is a smart move. It gives you the boldness of Knuckle Sandwich with a smoother, more refined profile. This is the cigar for people who want power with finesse. If you tried the original and thought "I want this but a bit smoother," this is your answer. **PAIRING SUGGESTION:** Pairs beautifully with bourbon or espresso. The bourbon brings out the leather and spice; the espresso creates harmony with the chocolate and cocoa notes. --- 💬 HAVE YOU TRIED THIS ONE YET? Came across some Rojas “Street Tacos Cinco de Mayo” (2024)… and it looked like they were just trying to get rid of them. You already know I had to grab a few. Always interesting when you find stuff like this sitting around — sometimes those turn out to be sleepers. Anyone had this one before? 💨
