Inspiration
Jim Carrey once said "if there's a chance you can fail at something you don't want you might as well give a chance to do something you love". Last Saturday I had the honor to be in a Q&A with Tom Kenny (the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants) and he said "if someone else will take the job if you don't apply you might as well do it. Worst case someone else books the job anyway and best case is you get to be a part of something you wanted". Why do I say this? Because we seem to worry too much about playing it safe. As a teen and a young adult you have everything to go all in. No child to look after, no family to maintain, no debts. The sky is the limit. Take a chance. It only takes a leap of faith. What's something you believe your teen is struggling with that keeps him or her away from their dreams?
