So, who am I and what am I doing here? Hi! I’m Emily Silver — the artist, educator, and heart behind Thee Silver Studio, and hopefully your (or your child’s) future art teacher. I’ve been teaching art since I was 15, when I landed my very first job as an assistant painting instructor. Since then, I’ve had the joy of teaching in homes, studios, galleries, museums, religious spaces, schools, and camps. Each summer, I lead an incredible team of teaching artists, mentoring young educators as they grow into their own creative voices in the classroom. Becoming an art teacher has been my dream for as long as I can remember, and while I wish I’d started building this community sooner, I’m thrilled to finally open the doors to something I’ve poured my heart into. Thee Silver Studio is more than an art class — it’s a creative community where curiosity and imagination matter more than talent. Through skill-building projects and guided exploration, young artists will strengthen not only their artistic abilities but also their confidence, resilience, and willingness to take on new challenges. Most importantly, the goal of Thee Silver Studio is to create a space where artists learn to embrace mistakes, support one another, and grow through honest, encouraging creative experiences. NOW...
