Piano and Theory Q&A Hotline is happening in 17 hours
🎶 Congratulations to This Month’s Performers! 👏
A huge well done to Lucia, Justin, and Jon for this month’s beautiful concert performances — each brought such care, personality, and musical depth to their pieces. ✨ Lucia — for your thoughtful balance between the hands and that gentle, singing tone in Song of Twilight. 🎵 Justin — for learning Kiss the Rain to such a high standard so quickly, and shaping every phrase with real musical sensitivity. 🎹 Jon — for your Träumerei — a performance full of quiet narrative and expressive insight. You can watch the full replay here:👉 Monthly Concert Replay If you’d like to take part in the next concert, it’s simple: 1️⃣ Go to the Calendar tab inside the Circle. 2️⃣ Find the next Monthly Student Concert event. 3️⃣ Click the event and follow the short sign-up instructions there. 🎥 Workshop Replay: Beating Piano Frustration — How to Practise Without Losing Heart
If you couldn’t make today's live session (or just want to revisit the ideas), the full replay is now up on YouTube 🎹 This workshop goes deep into one of the most common challenges adult pianists face — frustration. Not because of lack of talent, but because of the gap between what we expect to be able to do and what we can currently do. In the session, we unpack: ✅ Why frustration really happens (and how to spot it early) ✅ How to use a Practice Journal to track real progress and stay grounded ✅ Practical structures — breaking, linking, and resilience drills that make improvement visible ✅ Tools for calm, confident practice — even when things feel stuck If you missed it, watch it when you can and post your main takeaway afterwards! Let’s turn this into a thread of calm encouragement for anyone feeling a bit stuck lately 🎵
🎹 This Weekend in The Circle: Two Live Events to Reset & Refocus
We’ve got two great sessions coming up — each designed to tackle a different side of piano progress: 🗓 Saturday 10:30am — “Beat Piano Frustration Fast” (Workshop) If practice has felt stuck or slow lately, this 90-minute workshop will help you reset. We’ll cover: ✅ Why frustration happens (and how to spot it early) ✅ How to track progress so it actually feels real ✅ Practice structures that make tricky pieces move again ✅ Tools to stay calm, focused, and motivated You’ll come away with a simple framework to turn “this isn’t working” into “I know what to do next.” 🎧 Sunday 5pm — Piano & Theory Q&A Hotline Bring your questions, pieces, or problems — anything from sight-reading to chord voicings to practice routines. This one’s interactive, relaxed, and great for real-time feedback. 👉 Both events are on Google Meet (links inside the Calendar tab). If you can only make one, come to the workshop. It’ll change how you practise next week. 🎶
