This week’s challenge: Take a proper look at your scalp - maybe for the first time ever.
Your mission:
1. Part your hair in 3-4 sections
2. Look at your scalp (use your phone camera if it helps you see better or just use a mirror)
3. Notice what you CAN see: Colour? Any visible buildup? Flaking? Redness? How much scalp shows through (density)?
What you can observe yourself:
∙ Scalp colour (pale, pink, red, brown tones)
∙ Visible buildup or flaking
∙ How dense your hair looks (can you see lots of scalp or very little?)
∙ Any obvious irritation or redness
What you CAN’T fully assess with just your eyes/phone:
∙ Follicle health (needs trichoscope)
∙ pH levels (needs testing)
∙ Inflammation beneath the surface
∙ Exact causes of what you’re seeing
This is just observation - not diagnosis.
Share in the comments:
∙ What surprised you when you actually looked?
∙ What did you notice that you’d never paid attention to before?
∙ One question about what you’re seeing
No judgment. Just observation. Let’s learn to SEE our scalps together.
Drop your findings below 👇
(Photos optional - even just describing what you noticed is great!)
I’ll go first in the comments to show you what I mean.
