Last night I injured my back training back and biceps.
Old me would’ve used it as an excuse to quit the whole session but Instead, I adjusted. I stopped what needed stopping and still did my cardio. That’s an important distinction. RYS is not about destroying your body or being reckless. It’s about showing up intelligently.
Raising your standards doesn’t mean:
- ignoring pain
- feeding the ego
- proving toughness
It means:
- listening to your body
- adapting without quitting
- keeping momentum without self-sabotage
Some days you go hard. Some days you modify. But you don’t disappear. That’s the standard.
So Today’s reminder:
Progress isn’t ruined by injury.
It’s ruined by ego.
If something didn’t go to plan today:
- Adjust
- Keep moving
- Protect your long-term game
Action for today:
- Do what you can do
- Remove the ego
- Keep the habit alive
Comment below:
- One way you adjusted instead of quitting
- One area where you need less ego and more consistency
This is how real discipline is built — calmly, honestly, long-term.
We RYS, even when we have to adapt.
