Managing stress is a learned skill..
Managing stress is a learned skill and it doesn’t come from changing conditions.
Anything external doesn’t influence how stressed you are , the judgement you have about what influences the stress determines it.
Identification of feeling stressed :
No.1 The actual physical trigger/feeling
No.2 What’s causing it?
No.3 Is the reason the end? Is it absolute? It’s probably not , you’re not going to die , thoughts are thoughts, they’re not absolute.
Your behaviour over a long term will determine your success , there will be top 10% days , there will be bottom 10% days , what you need to make sure is that the behaviour doesn’t change.
Separate your internal feelings from the external conditions around you.
When you feel stress , you do not need to behave stressfully.
The plan is solid , we just need our commitment to the plan to be solid.
External Stressor? Create space ,
What if this were good?
What if this is normal?
What if this is to be expected?
What if this is just one of the bottom 10% days in terms of statistics?
Something internally is off? Create Space ,
It doesn’t mean you need to act that way.
JUST delay the speed between when you feel something and when you behave , the behaviours will be naturally more aligned with your long-term goals , just create space.
Less emotionally reactive , more confident, being able to continue to do without being able to see the result of your doing. Embody this.
Pressure creates diamonds. Be a diamond. You’ve got this.
