Bee Smarts
We have had unseasonably warm late fall in Oregon, such that I saw a bee the other day. It reminded me of summer days☀️.
(July) This little bee has figured out it can drink licorice root water through my fabric grow bag - what a smart little critter 🐝 Historically, recorded use of licorice root reflects it may have been one of earliest plants used as medicine.
Egyptian pharaohs coveted this tasty and beneficial tea. To experience the wonder that is licorice root tea, simply steep in boiling water for 10 minutes. A tea made of licorice root offers healing support, while also providing a very sweet taste that is often used to temper stronger tasting herb blends.
Here’s my favorite online organic supplier for licorice root, which makes a wonderful warming tea, or beneficial and sweet boost to your favorite blend. More herbal blend tea tips to come!
