Community Guidelines | Care, Privacy & Boundaries
I want this to be a place where you can learn and feel understood without having to tell your whole story. These guidelines help us care for one another while respecting the limits of an online community. PARTICIPATE AT YOUR OWN PACE You may read quietly, skip a reflection, or share a general learning point. You do not need to disclose personal experiences, complete every exercise, or offer advice to belong here. PROTECT PRIVACY Please do not share identifying details about children, clients, patients, schools, workplaces, treatment facilities, or other people. Avoid posting medical records, private messages, photographs of children, or sensitive histories. Do not copy or repost another member’s words or screenshots. Keep completed worksheets somewhere private. An online community cannot guarantee confidentiality. Participation does not create a therapist-client relationship or the protections of clinical confidentiality. Choose what you share with that in mind. RESPECT AND BOUNDARIES No harassment, shaming, discrimination, pressure to disclose, or unwanted private contact. Speak from your own experience rather than telling another member what they must do. Respect a request for space. No self-promotion or unsolicited sales messages. EDUCATION AND PEER SUPPORT Please do not diagnose other members, children, or family members. Avoid unsolicited clinical advice or recommendations to change someone’s treatment. General educational discussion is welcome; individual health or treatment questions belong with an appropriately qualified professional. THIS COMMUNITY’S LIMITS Membership does not provide psychotherapy, private therapy, individualized treatment, crisis counseling, or emergency response. The founder does not promise immediate replies or ongoing individual support through posts or messages. If there is immediate danger or an urgent health concern, contact appropriate local emergency or professional services rather than waiting for a community response. USE RESOURCES WITH CHOICE

Membership Guidance | What You Can Access Now
I want you to be able to choose a membership with a clear understanding of what is available. You belong here as a free member, and there is no pressure to upgrade. STANDARD — FREE Begin Here | A Gentle Return to Yourself is published with six written lessons. Start with overwhelm, optional grounding, recognizing needs, and one manageable step. Lesson 5 includes a downloadable three-page personal plan, regulation menu, and boundary reflection. Lesson 6 links to the original free parenting posts: Why Transitions Can Feel So Big and The Calm Parent Roadmap. Those downloads remain free. Free members can join community conversations, use optional reflection prompts, and participate without sharing personal experiences. PREMIUM — $19/MONTH Premium currently has eleven published written lessons: five in Start Here | Your Return to Self Journey, including the original personal check-in, and six in Emotional Wellness & Regulation. Reconnecting With Yourself, Parenting Through Connection, the Reflection & Workbook Library, and Monthly Growth & Integration are still in preparation. Their written lessons are complete. The full expanded PDF library and its download checks are not finished, so please choose Premium for the published written lessons rather than expecting every planned resource to be available. I will update this post when those resources are ready to use. VIP — $39/MONTH VIP purchasing is open at $39/month. You receive fifteen published written lessons: six modules in The Deeper Return and nine lessons in The Direct Companion. VIP also includes the published Standard and Premium classrooms. These self-paced lessons explore patterns, self-trust, boundaries, the seven Return to Self invitations, and a practical integration roadmap. The full expanded PDF library is still being prepared; the current offer is the published written learning experience. WHAT MEMBERSHIP DOES NOT INCLUDE There are no available recorded modules, guided meditations, grounding audio, live meetings, private therapy, individualized treatment, or immediate-response support. Future recordings are not part of the current offer.

Welcome Home | The Return to Self Collective
I'm so glad you're here. I wanted my first post in this community to be something more than an introduction. I wanted to tell you why I created this space. I'm a therapist, a mother, and a doctoral student in Developmental Psychology. I've spent years supporting others through some of their hardest moments. I've also experienced what it's like to lose pieces of yourself while trying to hold everything else together. And something I've learned, both personally and professionally, is that healing isn't about becoming someone completely new. Sometimes it's about finding your way back to the person you've been underneath everything you've had to carry. That's where The Return to Self Collective began. I wanted to create a space where you don't have to pretend you're doing okay. Where parents can talk about how hard parenting actually is. Where personal growth doesn't become another thing you're failing to keep up with. A place where we can learn about our emotions, recognize our patterns, build healthier relationships, and practice showing up for ourselves with a little more compassion. Here, you'll find conversations about emotional wellness, self-discovery, nervous system regulation, parenting through connection, boundaries, and rebuilding trust with yourself. You'll also find practical resources, reflection exercises, and opportunities to connect with people who are navigating their own journeys. And I want you to know something important: You belong here whether you're a free member or a paid member. I believe emotional wellness resources should be accessible. That's part of why I created Simple Tranquility Co. in the first place. I don't have everything figured out, either. I'm still learning, growing, parenting, and finding my way through life. This community isn't about perfection. It's about connection, understanding, and taking meaningful steps forward, even when they're small. I'd love to get to know you. If you feel comfortable, introduce yourself below:

When the limit stays, connection can stay too
As a mother and therapist, I want parents to have room for both care and clear limits. A child can be disappointed, and the boundary can still remain. For an ordinary screen-time transition, that might sound like: “You wanted more time. The screen is finished. You can put it on the table, or I can help.” The feeling is acknowledged. The next step is clear. Both choices need to be options you can actually offer. You do not have to find the perfect sentence. Depending on your child's age, communication, and needs, fewer words, more time, a visual cue, or a quieter setting may be more useful. Offer comfort without forcing touch or a conversation. Later, when everyone has more room, ask yourself: • Was the expectation clear? • What made the transition harder? • What support could I prepare next time? These are some of the ideas behind the Calm Parent Roadmap I created. The existing free resource is here: https://www.skool.com/the-return-to-self-collective-1819/the-calm-parent-roadmap-parenting-with-more-connection-less-pressure If you want to respond, you can name a general transition: mornings, leaving activities, bedtime, or screen time. Please leave identifying details about your child private. Reading quietly is welcome too. Alizsha Ahlers, MS Creator & Founder, Simple Tranquility Co. Educational support, not a promise to change a child's behavior.

Inside the Direct Companion: one honest sentence, one kind next step
The Direct Companion holds another part of my voice: honest, direct, and still caring. I created it to sit alongside the original Return to Self Method, with the same seven invitations and a firmer conversation. One invitation is Love. Here, love includes taking responsibility without putting your whole worth on trial. If you forgot a commitment, “I'm a terrible person” does not tell you what to do next. A more useful sentence might be: “I missed something I agreed to. I can acknowledge it, give an accurate update, and make a more realistic plan.” Try holding two sentences together: “I can understand why this was difficult.” “The next responsible thing I can do is…” Understanding the context does not erase the impact. It can help you choose a repair that is specific enough to attempt. The VIP companion classroom has nine written lessons: a welcome, Hold, Regulate, Understand, Love, Reclaim, Connect, Create, and a final integration plan. Each invitation connects to the matching workbook page. VIP members can read the Love lesson here: https://www.skool.com/the-return-to-self-collective-1819/classroom/7650e78e?md=69c8117f1c3d4b2ea85890e4fef9bde9 Choose the tone that helps you reflect. You may pause, skip a prompt, or return to the gentler original resource. You do not have to prove that you can tolerate direct language. Alizsha Ahlers, MS Creator & Founder, Simple Tranquility Co. Educational reflection; no particular outcome is promised.
