A truly incredible example of an Art Deco Mahogany Tall Boy with Emerald Bakelite Handles in amazing condition. It has all the original handles in deep emerald green and the original mirrors and glass. It has been completely stripped and refinished on the outside to a rich satin finish and waxed. This is one of my favourite projects over the past 6 months as I nearly missed it. And nearly made the wrong resto decision. At first I thought it just needed oiling, but once I sanded one of the drawers I realised that there so so much more value. 1. Remove handles 2. Light sand 3. Oil 4. Wax 5. Handles back on $200 paid > $645 sold same day through FB Marketplace. 2 Hours work.
A lovely surprise to see this stunning Krug Bankers Chair finished last night by member @Debbie Jones in our Wednesday night members class. It was a very light touch restoration but with some amazing results... and this is a piece I passed up so gutted about that. I think with one will be staying in Debbie's collection. 🥰
