I’m a PSW with 13 years of frontline experience and a first-year nursing student. I care deeply about evidence-based practice, ethical caregiving, and the very real emotional and nervous-system toll this work takes.
I created this space because caregiving is often treated like a personality trait instead of skilled, human labor. Textbooks don’t always reflect what actually happens in real care settings, and “just be resilient” isn’t a plan.
Here, we talk honestly about caregiving realities, boundaries, burnout, and regulation. Grounded in science, compassion, and lived experience, I also share gentle, hands on creative practices that help overstimulated brains settle, without pressure or performance.
You don’t have to prove anything here. You just have to be human.
