I'm so glad you're here! This Skool community was created with the hope of supporting parents of England/ UK based Primary-aged children to navigate primary education at home. During my decade-long experience as a teacher, I had many parents state that they were not confident in helping their children with their learning at home, particularly with understanding the modern methods of teaching, their own lack of confidence in certain areas of the curriculum or the worry of not teaching their child correctly and confusing them further. Whether you’re helping them prepare for their SATs, beginning your home schooling journey or looking for a cheaper, more flexible alternative to a home visit tutor, you are not alone. In this hub you will find: - Short, focused teaching videos. - The science behind how children learn to give you a better understanding of why they can find new methods overwhelming. - Simple explanations of key methods. - Resources you can use to support your learning. - A supportive community of parents sharing the same journey. Our aim is to ensure you feel confident helping your child and to help your child feel confident in their learning. We will begin with year 6 SATS revision videos and then, if the community shows the need for growth beyond that, we also aim to include Early Reading (Phonics), Fine motor skills to help your child to begin writing and Mental Health and resilience resources to ensure they have the internal motivation to support challenging learning.
