Carry Our Cross
Luke 14:27 (NKJV) Jesus says, "And whoever does not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciples". Death on the cross was a form of execution used by Rome for criminals. A criminal would carry their cross to the place of execution. Jesus used the cross to illustrate the ultimate submission required from his disciples. We are required to stand for righteousness and that means we will be falsely accused and misunderstood by the world. Everything the world values goes against what the scripture teaches us. Being a disciple of Christ demands total submission to him. Jermaire C. Gilkey, Founder Inspired Word Ministry An Online Ministry

Spiritual Gifts
Our Spiritual Gifts 1 Corinthians 12:4 (NKJV) says, "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit". Each gift is given to us by the Holy Spirit. He decides what gifts he desires for us to have. Our gifts are freely given to us. We use our gifts for the purpose of serving and ministering to the Body of Christ. Each person in the Body of Christ has something to contribute. We are called to make a significant impact in each other's lives. Our ultimate priority is to use our gifts with love and humility. Trust God!
Trusting God Mark 11:22 (NKJV) says, "Have faith in God". Placing our faith in God causes us to live in submission to his plans and purpose. God can be trusted to be faithful to his word. People and circumstances will change. God will never change. Our heavenly Father is the same person he was yesterday. The same person he will be today. He will also be the same person in the future. Our priority is to trust God's wisdom and understand he uses every situation to work for our benefit. Therefore we should respond to every problem with a peaceful heart. God is good. He desires to see us grow and mature in our faith. Jermaire C. Gilkey, Founder Inspired Word Ministry An Online Ministry
