This is a great community of photographers of all different skill sets. I originally saw Ed on YouTube on one of his many portrait lighting videos and decided to join the group. This is a great community to learn in with absolutely no judgment and a lot of encouragement.

This has been a great community from the start. I was looking for a place to learn how to work with studio lighting. I came across this group through Ed’s teaching videos and was willing to try it. What I love about this group is that people are supportive, not trying to criticize others to make themselves feel better. I learned a lot from the courses included, and have been able to secure paid clients using these skills.

For me, the learning has been great. When I signed up here I had certain experience and had learned quite a bit. But I didn't have confidence in what I knew. Take for example, Studio lighting. I did it, I learned it, but I had massive doubt and self confidence with it. Ed's Classroom Education let me go through the steps and then I was able to submit my work for review. That in and of itself has been very valuable to me. The tools are here to learn, if you do the work.

Ed's teaching style is so straightforward, clear and consise! I was trying to learn flash through YouTube videos and getting totally frustrated until I watched one of Ed's videos. I immediately joined his Portrait club and I am so glad I did! His course takes you through the basics all the way through more complex lighting scenarios. Being able to submit homework, get feedback, and ask questions made all the difference to me.

Ed is a great teacher! He helped me with my flash photography and understanding the flash lighting and now I have the knowledge of how light works.
