The Philosophy of Making
As makers, we must wrestle with the reality of the world- that our natural resources are to be protected, and the things we make will take resources to create. Making archival work might not be the way to go in a world that's overcrowded with stuff and things and quickly running out of clean water, air, space and sustenance to support a rapidly growing population. Makers have to be responsible with the resources they use and the art they create. Our world depends on our conscious discernment.

How to Teach LIke a Rebel
As a teacher, it's your job to make space for a specific type of magic to happen. Over the decades of experience I have teaching art to people of all ages, I have found that the best way to teach anything, including art, is to allow a larger space for the student than you make for yourself as the teacher. In any great teacher-student relationship, both people learn, both people are challenged, and ultimately, both people grow through the discussion of skill building and refinement.
