Been playing around with some different needle configurations lately and wanted to share something that’s been working well for me especially on mature or sensitive skin.
As we know, this skin type can be a bit tricky… it gets irritated easily, bleeds more, and sometimes just doesn’t hold pigment the way we want.
I’ve been trying out flats and mags, specifically the 7 mag and 5 flat and I’m loving how they feel. With more needles hitting the skin at once (like 4 from a 7 mag), I can implant pigment quicker, which means less trauma overall.
Because of the increased surface area, the needles don’t go as deep, way better for delicate skin. And it’s easier to see if your angle is right, which helps keep the strokes fine and crisp.
So I’m still getting beautiful, thin lines just in a gentler, more efficient way.
How about you, have you tired flats or mags for strokes? Let me know you're experience of them in comments.
