๐Ÿ“Œ START HERE โ€” Read this first.
Welcome to The Plot. This is a community for people who want to grow their own food โ€” beginners, returning growers, and everyone in between. No gatekeeping, no jargon walls. Just real information and people who actually garden. Check out the rules page: Rules Here's how to get started: 1. Go to Classroom โ†’ Gear Up This is the orientation module. It'll show you how the platform works, where everything lives, and what to do first. Don't skip it โ€” it's short and it matters. 2. Answer the question in Module 1. I ask you something at the end of the first lesson. Come back to The Feed and post your answer. That's your intro to the community. 3. Start Unit 1: Growing Foundations This is where the actual learning begins. Work through it at your own pace. --- What's here right now: โœ… Unit 1: Growing Foundations (free) โฑ๏ธ[ MAY ] Unit 2: The Starter Garden (free โ€” Sprout tier) โฑ๏ธ[ JUNE ] Unit 3: Troubleshooting Your Garden (free โ€” Grower tier) ๐Ÿ”’ The Greenhouse โ€” premium courses, worksheets & downloads ๐Ÿ”’ VIP โ€” deeper content, in development and growing The Greenhouse and VIP content is expanding. If you're an early member, you're watching this get built in real time โ€” and your questions in The Feed directly shape what gets made next. --- This community is alive. It grows as you grow. Drop your intro below. โ†“ April 2026

๐ŸŒป Saturday Show & Tell โ€” Post One Photo. That's It.
Every Saturday, drop one photo of what's growing (or struggling) in your plot this week. No captions required. No polish needed. Phone photo, dirt under the nails, whatever's real. A few ways to use this thread: - First harvest? Post it. - Something failing and you don't know why? Post it โ€” someone here probably does. - Weird bug? Mystery sprout? Mid-build bed? Post it. - Just proud of something? Post it. Why we do this: Gardens compound when you pay attention to them weekly. So does this community. One photo a week from each of you and by next spring we've got a real record of what works, what fails, and what's worth trying โ€” across every climate, every lot size, every experience level. You don't need a "good" garden to post. You need a garden. That's the whole bar. Tag someone if their post sparked something. Ask a question if you see something you want to try. Level up by showing up. See you Saturday. โ€” Michael

Welcome to The Plot. Where are you growing?
Before we start, I want to know who's in the room. Your growing zone is the single most important number in your garden. It tells you what survives the winter, when to plant, and how long your season runs. If you don't know yours, start with Unit 1.1 โ€” the reference sheet at the bottom of that lesson covers Canadian, USDA, RHS, and Australian systems, with a personal climate card you fill in for your own site. Vote below, then drop a comment and tell me two things: 1. Where you're growing. City or country โ€” I want to see the spread. 2. What Zone are you in? I read every comment. โ€” MRD POLL: What's the crop that keeps failing on you? Odds are someone in here has already cracked it. That's the point of the room.
