Shortage of good entertainers?
I love your content, Chris.
There’s something I don’t understand about the senior entertainment business. There seems to be a shortage of good performers in the field, and yet I have heard you say that when you leave phone messages, you’re lucky if one in 10 calls you back and maybe a few of them will offer you a gig. What is the problem here? It’s not you. You are very friendly and personable and perform a wide range of resident-appropriate music well. Is it just that the activity directors are overworked and facility budgets are too tight to give the residents what they need. I am just getting started, but the situation seems frustrating for both musicians and residents.
