To help you with prvious exercises and with the following observation, below you can find short description of the core values of Runes of Elder Futhark.

  • energy in its purest form,
  • abundance in the constant state of expansion,
  • flow,
  • shapeshifting,

2. Uruz
  • creation - as a structuring of already exisiting form,
  • strength, vitality,
  • subconscious (in its instinctual element),
  • constistency,
  • freedom, wildness

3. Thurisaz
  • unconscious, reactive and destructive force,
  • breaking of blockades,
  • differentiating force,
  • sex drive (testosterone), fertilization,
  • compulsive behaviours (often instinctual),

4. Ansuz
  • relationality - interrelations,
  • information that is shaping the world,
  • signal and response, communication, persuasion,
  • wisdom, inspiration - flowing from the Divine Element,
  • patterns, tradition, lineage - as a genetic connection with gods (primordial or highest forms),
  • force holding the world together - stopping or delaying dessolution,

  • ''right' pattern of action - in natural sense, not neccesarily moral one,
  • rhythm, movement,
  • journey,

  • creativity, resourcefullness,

  • fire under creative controll of human will,
  • competence - technical knowledge and skill necessary for effectiive creation,

  • giving/recieving and elements linked to these qualities,
  • generosity, hopsitality,
  • sacrifice,
  • differentiating force - in a very subtle element,
  • *in my experience Gebo is NOT EXCHANGE, contrary - exchange is closer to its negative aspect

8. Wunjo
  • harmony, wellbeing,
  • release from suffering or ability to cope with it,
  • positive relations within the group,
  • amalgamation, fusion (without the loss of individuality)

9. Hagalaz
  • hail - crisis and transformation through crisis,
  • primordial pattern of divine order/proper form,
  • invitation for self regulation,
  • preparation for the unknown,
  • exorcism,

10. Naudhiz
  • resistance and friction (often intesifying power),
  • cause and effect,
  • need, needs rooted in our core nature,
  • subconciousness - within pre-programmed (behavioral) element,
  • compulsive behaviours,
  • transformation of one's suffering into power,

  • stillness, freezing, barrier,
  • transition between states (often uncomfortable),
  • fascination with the surface beauty,
  • awareness of one's Ego,

  • cicle/ciclicality, process and awareness of its nature and elements,
  • crops - results of past action (*law of cause and effect - not morally justified 'reward'),
  • timing and patience, often resulting from the awareness of natural cycles,

  • flexibility and endurance, often under strain,
  • Yggdrasil, Bifrost - bridge between worlds,
  • opposites connected in the central point (good and evil, light and dark, below and above),
  • self discipline,

  • fate - as Orlog from norse traditions: sum of all past events shaping the present,
  • the unknown,
  • act/ritual of divination,
  • luck,

  • human consciousness rising towards the divine,
  • protection and its offensive aspect, boundries,
  • wisdom and skill as a contrast to direct, brutal force,
  • tradition - as a link between roots and branches,

  • the Sun, melting/burning away surface illusions,
  • goal, guide on the path to your goal,
  • magic will,
  • sunlight melting the ice, braking through stagnation (counterforce to Isa),
  • protection from hostile forces,
  • success, honor,

  • justice, victory,
  • order, logic, rationality,
  • faith and trust,
  • self sacrifice (within healthy limitations),

  • house, land, real estate,
  • safety and prosperity - within accumulated value,
  • boundries, difference between myself (us as a 'tight' group) and everything that is not me/us,
  • family, clan, group following the same set of values,
  • respect for tradition,
