This verse paints a picture of what it means to live as Godโ€™s beloved, our identity is secure and our calling is to wear His character daily.
It also reminds us that holiness is not abstract. It is lived out in the way we treat others.
Our identity in Christ is revealed through the virtues we choose to wear.
๐—–๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ โ€” our worth is rooted in Godโ€™s love, not in our performance.
๐—–๐—น๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐˜€ โ€” compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience are not accessories but essentials.
๐——๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐˜† ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ โ€” just as we dress each morning, we must intentionally โ€œput onโ€ Christโ€™s character.
๐—ฉ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ โ€” when we wear these virtues, others see Godโ€™s love through us.
The world notices what we wearโ€”let it be the garments of Christโ€™s love.
