Do not get scammed if your a vendor
As part of my Pokemon business here in Springfield and Nixa Missouri I do occasionally do events. Recently in our community of network vendors stories have been told of how they had been scammed by people that claimed they were the person running events. I myself just recently ran into this problem while trying to book an event in Branson Missouri. I was approached on Facebook Marketplace a person claiming to be associated with an event and they had all the information of the event and seem to be the real person or the real deal. However this turned out not to be the case and the only reason that we found out is because it came up as a scam on PayPal. The fact is if you are a business that operates through events you need to do your homework and you need to research the event. You can start by contacting someone through the event but you can also go through the city or state and see if they have filed for permits and have business licenses for the event that is about to happen. You can also verify the place that the event is being held they will have information on who is operating the event plus what company is running it and who to contact. Sometimes also asking other vendors or business operators that do the event a lot may know who is in charge and who you can talk to. Unfortunately booking events is done a lot online anymore so you may want to do it through PayPal or do it on a credit card or do it in a way that it protects you in case it is a scam and you have to file something. Always get receipts, always keep copies of who you've paid in contacted through the emails. If you get scammed make sure you report it right away and and you may even want to contact the company that is running the event to let them know that there is someone pretending to be operating with them so they are aware of it. In today's world there's a lot of different scams out there don't let yourself become a victim of the scam. Doing your research while protect you and whoever is running the show should appreciate that you are checking up on them and not be offended by it. If they're legit and setting up the events they should not be afraid of you researching them.

To Grade Pokemon Cards or not to Grade Pokemon Cards ?
There is an interesting argument about grading or not grading cards. I personally do not grade cards because of the business I run here in Springfield is mostly vending machines. So I don't grade the cards that are in the vending machines and the retail locations I have I don't grade those either but recently I've had a few people that have been pushing me towards getting graded cards. Here's my argument towards why I don't really like to grade cards even though you can probably make more money off graded cards it's not really a properly you can but you invest a lot of money up front to grade cards it cost a lot of money to send the cards in you have to wait for the time to have the cards come back then after they graded you have to be able to sell those cards so you might be spending a lot of money to grade the cards and get nothing in return if you're going to sell them. I guess if you are hanging on to credit cards as an investment or as a personal collector it would be worth grading a few cards if they were worth the money to grade or if you thought the investment would grow over time. However the way I look at it is sales on the spot if I don't make sales then I cannot order more merchandise or spend money to get more stuff to sell to people this includes having new merchandise cards and everything else that goes along with my business. However with not grading the cards you lose some things too as I've stated credit cards are definitely more valuable. However you could grade the card and it could come out with a bad grade and not be worth the value you thought it was. Also I return to my previous fact that if you're selling these cards what if no one buys them. Then you have invested all this money in time into a graded card and you are not selling it and it just sits there. I am just curious if there's any Pokemon collectors buyers sellers I have an opinion on this I'm going to leave a poll at the end.
