The Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation’s mission is to make mental health a priority in every community, especially those where support is most needed.
The Foundation's Local Grant Program supports U.S.-based, local organizations serving the mental health of those in need.
Support will be provided for ten organizations focused on:
- increasing awareness and education, including fostering conversations and supporting educational programs that break down the stigma of mental health issues;
- improving access to care, including increasing the availability of resources to address mental health issues when and where they are needed most; and,
- building protective factors, including strengthening attitudes, behaviors, and relationships that build the foundation for mental health.
The Foundation aims to fund organizations serving communities with unique mental health needs, including youth, women, communities of color, and the LGTBQ+ community.
Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits that have been in existence for at least one year and that have a mission or program with a stated focus on direct access to mental healthcare.
