USA Food and Drink sizes vs Australia
Down here down under we get pretty big meals, big enough to fill you up or a pub feed that is big enough to have some leftovers. In the US All food portions were larger then we are used to, pricey as well. on average I'd say they were about 1.5 times bigger than our servings here. The food ended up more expensive but to make it worth your while for a big meal you should visit a restaurant chain called "Black Bear Diner". This place is what you imagine American food sizes to be like! Their drinks though are ridiculously big! For reference, a large coffee or milkshake in Aus is roughly 16oz. Our large is their medium and sometimes even the smallest size!! To avoid to much unhealthy stuff limiting the drinks wasn't too hard because honestly their Hot Chocolates were lacking. Limiting fast food wasn't hard because they had plenty better options of Mexican, Beagals, non fatty burgers and street food cuisine on every block. Did you have the same experience with the food and drinks?
