Introducing Myself - Ziad Hafda
Assalamu alaykum everyone 👋 I'll go first. My name is Ziad Hafda. I'm the founder of The Muslim Mind Academy and I'm based in Sydney, Australia. I've spent over 22 years seeking Islamic knowledge, teaching students, mentoring, leading community programs and asking one question that wouldn't leave me: Why do so many Muslims know the Kalimah but so few are actually living from it based on its true intended purpose sent by Allah... That question became this community. I'm a Vice-President and Chair of Education at the Australian Islamic House in Sydney. I'm also writing a book — The Muslim Mind: Reviving the Ummah through the Kalimah — which is the foundation of everything we teach here. I built this community for Muslims who are done drifting and ready to think, lead and live with Divine direction. Your turn 👇 Tell us who you are, where you're from, and answer this one question honestly: What is the biggest gap you feel between your Islam and your daily life right now? No judgment. This is your space. May Allah bless your path Ziad

Welcome + Framework Introduction
Bismillah. Welcome to The Muslim Mind Academy. Before we go anywhere, I want you to understand one thing clearly, this community is not about consuming more information. It is about transforming how you think. The flyer you see pinned below is not just a diagram. It is the entire methodology we will live and breathe together. Three states. One bridge. One direction — knowing Allah. Your Current State of Mind holds a set of values, beliefs, visions and goals built on a knowledge baseline. We are not throwing that away. We are asking: where did it come from? Is it aligned? The Bridge is this community : the interim state where new knowledge enters and real change becomes possible. The New State of Mind is where you are going. New values. New clarity. New direction: anchored in Allah. As Allah says in Surah Ar-Ra'd 13:11 "He will not change your condition until you change what is within yourself" This is the starting point. Everything in this community flows from this verse. "Before we begin — in one sentence, honestly describe your CURRENT state of mind as a Muslim today. No filters. Just truth."

The Muslim Mind Welcomes You
📌 Meet Your Instructor — Ziad Hafda بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم I want to be direct about what The Muslim Mind Academy is and what it is not. This is not a dawah platform. This is not a lecture series. This is not generic Islamic motivation. This is a leadership, mindset and personal development academy, built entirely on Islamic foundations. The frameworks you will learn here are rooted in the Kalimah and the Qur’an and Sunnah but they are designed to transform how you think, lead and operate in every area of your life. Your career. Your relationships. Your direction. Your identity. Your future. Who I Am I have spent over 22 years at the intersection of two worlds, deep Islamic scholarship and professional strategic leadership. On the Islamic side: I have sought knowledge in Arabic and English for over two decades. I teach at one of Australia’s largest mosques. I serve as Vice-President and Chair of Education at the Australian Islamic House in Sydney. I am writing The Muslim Mind: Reviving the Ummah through the Kalimah — a framework for Islamic thinking that has taken many years to develop. On the professional side: I hold a Master’s Degree in Project Management and Project Leadership core foundations. I am a Certified Life Coach and NLP entry level training. I specialise in risk management, strategic planning and leadership development. I have trained and mentored hundreds of individuals across Australia and internationally. Most importantly, I operate in both worlds simultaneously. I understand the pressure of building a career, navigating a secular environment, and trying to maintain your identity and direction as a Muslim professional. I have lived it. I have studied it. I have built a framework for it. What Makes This Different "There is a growing need for leadership and mindset development that is genuinely grounded in Islamic frameworks — not as an add-on, but as the foundation. That is the space The Muslim Mind Academy was built to serve." You will not just learn about Islam here. You will learn how to think from an Islamic framework and apply that thinking to your leadership, your decisions, your career and your life.
Hot take - Most Muslims confuse change with Improvement
Here is a statement I want you to wrestle with: "A Muslim who becomes more productive, more successful and more disciplined but without knowing Allah more deeply has not changed. They have just improved." Change, in the framework, is transformation at the level of values and beliefs not just habits and routines. The Quran does not say Allah will change your productivity. He says He will change your condition and that starts within. Do you agree? Or do you think improvement IS change? Let's hear it. "Agree or disagree — and why? No wrong answers here. Push back if you see it differently. This is exactly the kind of thinking this community was built for."

What does your New State of Mind actually look like?
The framework ends with three powerful words: "Now you're ready to go." Ready to go — where? To what? For what purpose? The New State of Mind is not just feeling better about yourself. It is having a completely new set of values, beliefs, views and positions, all anchored in knowing Allah. It means your thinking changes. Your decisions change. The way you see your role in this Ummah changes. This is the part most development courses skip. They make you feel good but leave you with no direction. The Muslim Mind is different, the new state is not the destination. It is the launchpad. "Paint me a picture — if your New State of Mind was fully realised, what would your life look like in 3 years? Not your career. Your MIND. Your character. Your role in this Ummah. Write it out."
