Happy Monday
Hey becoming women!
I pray and hope that you had an amazing weekend. I want us to get in the habit of making sure that we are doing some form of self care during our down time. We have to realize that we are just as important as the people that we take care of, the jobs we work, businesses we run and even the hobbies that we enjoy. The desires and dreams that we have cannot be achieved if neglect our own well-being.We have got to give ourselves time for rejuvenation!
I'll tell you about my weekend, then I want to hear about yours.
Friday, I got my hair done - something that I had actually gotten out of the habit of doing because I know how to do it myself - but I promised myself that I will make more of an effort to allow someone else to take care of me sometimes. Let me tell you, sittingin that chair getting my head massaged, receiving treatments and having my haircut felt absolutely amazing! I had forgotten what it was like to let someone do something for me!
Saturday, I put on my cute suit with my beautiful hair, made up my face - something that I normally don't do - and I attended one of my sorority's finer womanhood events with my best friend where her good friend was the speaker. As I sat at that table God gave me so much revelation!!! He confirmed so many things that I'd taken to Him in my quiet time with God. He loves me SO MUCH that He spoke to me while I was sitting at that table during a social event, and I knew that I was in the right place at the right time to receive the word that God had just for me.
Sunday I went to church where I enjoyed a spirit-filled praise and worship and the word of God. All in all, it was an amazing weekend because after all that, I listened to my body and rested!
So ladies, tell me what did for yourselves this weekend?
Stay uniquely you,
Tamika
