Assessment and Workout Day 1
Yay! Day One down of Assessment and workout! We did the Overhead squat assessment together and we found some low back arching and arms falling as we performed the exercises.
We used the OHSA Worksheet document from the link here:
By identifying overactive and underactive muscles we can help bring more Awareness into the body so we can Awaken the path to correct muscular imbalances that lead to pain and discomfort.
We focused on stretching the overactive muscles first. For example; the hip flexors, rectus femoris, and Lumbar Extensors, and the Latissimus Dorsi muscle; then “activating” or “strengthening” the under-active muscles with some resistance band work.
We also uncovered some ways to make fitness more affordable at home! As we build our home gym for self care prioritization, we can build sustainable Quality in the Longevity of our lives
Health care is self care. We all have a responsibility over our own bodies, and this is where the JOURNEY to well-being begins in MASSAAHG Bodywork and Coaching
I hope you found this session informative and helpful! I forgot to hit the record button, but I will make sure to do that next time.
I appreciate you! Have a wonderful day and don’t forget we have a MASSAHG Q&A tomorrow at 1pm as well
