Assess and Exercise Guide
One of the things that I love about these live group exercise classes is that I get to see the body in action; YOUR body in action. For those of you who know recognize that I do assessments before your massage treatment and exercise programming. This allows us to keep treatment moving forward.
These assessments help me to identify overactive muscles from under active muscles.
By identifying the under-active muscles, we can in turn help identify the overactive muscles. Over active muscles need to stretch, loosen, or release first, before the under active muscles can truly engage and strengthen.
This is referred to as”reciprocal inhibition.”
This means that in order for movement to occur around a joint, one muscle group must relax while the opposing muscle group contracts.
Experiencing pain? These patterns of tension reveal a story and tell a tale as to how pain is being transferred throughout the body, and what can be done to reverse it
But remember; true healing comes through living water that helps ‘wash away’ the things that contribute to our pain and suffering.
