“In the beginning, God created…” That simple phrase from Genesis 1:1 has always resonated deeply with me since building my relationship with God, setting the tone for how I see the world and my place in it. As I moved through this first week of our 52-week Bible study, I found myself drawn to the ways God’s creative power is not only intentional but also so personal. Every sunrise, every gentle breeze, every moment spent in my garden tending to the birds and plants - these are all living testaments to God’s ongoing involvement in creation. Psalm 19:1-4 as part of our week one reading echoes in my heart: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” It’s in these quiet, mindful moments outdoors that I feel closest to the Creator, noticing how every detail in nature points back to Him.
This week, we reflected on the idea of bringing more of God’s creative order into my own life and home. Technology stood out for me; how I use it in my business, the way it can either create chaos or bring clarity and structure when used with intention. During my conversations with , we dove into the flow of energy in our homes - how the principles of Feng Shui - mirror the divine order woven into creation itself. There’s something sacred about the idea that everything has its place, and every place has its thing. When I choose decor or arrange a room, I’m not just making aesthetic decisions, but I’m working to honor the rhythm of Nature God established from the very beginning, bringing balance and beauty into the spaces where I live and work. In those same conversations, we explored human design and the unique spiritual gifts God has given each of us from the moment we took our first breath at birth. I’m a projector, Stephanie is a generator, and together we experience how God created us individually, each with a purpose that reflects His image. John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:15-17 remind me that Christ is at the center of all creation for “all things were created through Him and for Him.” There’s a freedom and a calling in recognizing that embracing the way I am designed to guide and the way Stephanie uplifts those around her by following her joy, is truly a GOOD thing.
Genesis 1:31 says, “God saw all that he had made, and behold, He said 'it was very good.'” That verse is a reminder to see the goodness in myself, in my friends, along with every aspect of creation, as a part of God’s ongoing and GROWING story.
Throughout this journey, we've been learning to practice present patience for awareness to understand with sympathy and empathy burning with compassion, love, and truth at the center of our watery HEARTS. Each intentional act and each moment of kindness becomes a way to give glory to the Lord our God-Spirit-Source Creator of the Universe in Jesus name.
This week and throughout the early part of this new year, I OBSERVED my home, my work, and my relationships as a reminder that God’s creative, All-Loving power is always at work, inviting me to grow into the fullness of who we all are created to be in HIS image of compassion, love and truth.
As we continue this 52-week Journey to who GOD created us to be, may every choice, every reflection, and every breath draw us closer to His heart, in Jesus’ name.
