Done waiting. Let’s build.
I didn’t build The Joy Collective because I had it all figured out. I built it because I spent way too long waiting, waiting for the right time, the right circumstances, the right version of myself to show up before I started living the life I actually wanted. And I know I’m not the only one. At some point I realised that waiting is a choice. And so is building. This space is for the woman who knows there’s more for her — more joy, more intention, more of a life that actually feels like hers — but hasn’t quite had the right people around her to make it real. That’s what this is. A collective. Not just content to consume, but a community to grow in. I’m so glad you’re here. This is just the beginning for all of us. You don’t need a pep talk. You need permission.
A member reached out this week and asked me for a motivational kick in the pants to help her get to work on her business. I gave her truth instead. Fear is usually what gets in the way. Not laziness. Not lack of discipline. Fear. The “what if this actually works” kind. The “what will my life look like if I actually succeed” kind. Everything you want is on the other side of that. If you have the dream, it wasn’t an accident. It was placed in you on purpose, God picked this path for you. So here’s the only question that matters today: What is ONE thing you can move forward on right now? Not the whole list. Not the whole plan. One thing. (And if you haven’t already, use AI to help you break your to-do list down so it doesn’t swallow you whole. That’s not cheating. That’s working smart.) Her reply after I sent this? “This is way beyond my expectations and extremely helpful.” That’s what happens when someone stops asking for motivation and starts telling the truth. You don’t need a push. You need to remember why you started. Go do the thing.
