Anxiety creates a false sense of urgency
Feels Urgent. It Rarely Is. Your body feels like something must be fixed immediately. Your thoughts demand action. Your chest tightens. But urgency is not the same as danger. Before responding to anxiety today, try this: The 90-Second Regulation Pause 1️⃣ Sit upright. 2️⃣ Slow your breathing — in for 4, out for 6. 3️⃣ Say quietly: “This is uncomfortable, not unsafe.” 4️⃣ Delay decisions for 20 minutes. Regulate first. Decide second. Most spirals reduce when the nervous system settles. Try this once today. Comment “DONE” after you use it.
