Loving the Light
I love old couples Catching each other as they stumble I love a child's heart A gift from our father, a beautiful new start I love a sunny day A blinding light, a distraction from the fray I love to cover the blood I'm not perfect, some days there's a flood I love my life Getting old and feeling a bit ripe Blessed to be loved by my Lord Jesus Christ Focused on God and living in his light.

Thankful
I found peace through christ our Lord Troubled though I was, a crying face contort Love consumed the foulers ships at Port God stepped in and built his fort When I'm hurt and my brain tries to distort I'm no longer alone to God I resort His power and my faith tops any force My hours and his grace adjusts my course Nothing is perfect except Christ our Lord A love that's everlasting forevermore Gave light to this poem found in the core Thankful is what I am, my soul restored
