Every industry needs disruption
When I talk to people, they often say that I'm in a crowded industry.
Do I really need to build a personal brand in there when it's already saturated?
That's a good question. It depends on what you're trying to sell.
If you try to sell what everyone else is selling, it's going to feel saturated.
If you can have a point of difference, you have the opportunity to thrive.
One thing I've been doing with clients is getting them to write down their list.
On that list, write down everything you hate about your current industry.
They make content that's in the opposite direction.
The best way to stand out is to be true to your values. But also promote things that you believe in.
Creating a hypothetical enemy is as important as creating an avatar.
The bigger your list, the more pieces of content you have to talk about.
Advertisers were put on 2. Whose problems are you trying to solve?
When I say every industry needs a disruption, it does.
A person who's 20 is probably not going to listen to a person who's 40. So if you're about 28, you can be someone that they look up to.
It's like training. You don't wanna train with someone who's too fit or too strong. It'll actually put you off.
The best place to improve training is to have a coach, but hang around people who are a little bit better than you.
That's the same with content. Your content should be just enough knowledge for someone who was you to learn and grow from you.
That's the key to content these days.
Good luck!
