Welcome to The Open Spirit Circle
You belong here if you’re spiritually curious, want more depth than scattered online content, and don’t want someone else dictating what you must believe. This is a place to learn, practice, reflect, and connect. We’ll explore meditation, healing, shadow work, intuition, mediumship, afterlife perspectives, and different wisdom traditions with curiosity and care. Three agreements keep the circle healthy: 1. Speak from your experience rather than claiming certainty for everyone. 2. Ask consent before offering interpretations, readings, or advice. 3. Support spiritual exploration without replacing qualified medical or mental-health care. Your first step is waiting in the Start Here post. It takes about 15 minutes and gives you a clear Spiritual Starting Point Map.

Start Here — Create your Spiritual Starting Point Map
If your spiritual path feels scattered, begin here. Set a timer for 15 minutes and write four short answers: 1. What is calling me now? Name the question, transition, or curiosity bringing you here. 2. What do I need more of? Choose one: grounding, healing, clarity, practice, connection, or exploration. 3. What boundary will keep this healthy? Examples: go slowly, stay curious, pause if distressed, or avoid unsolicited readings. 4. What will I practice for seven days? Choose one five-minute action you can actually repeat. Then post this simple version in the comments: Right now I’m exploring ____. I’d value more ____. For the next seven days, I’m practicing ____. You now have a starting point, a boundary, and one next step. Welcome to the circle.

Welcome - A little About Me
Hi everyone. I'm Elijah, and I'm the one who started this group. I've spent most of my adult life inside contemplative practice. That path has taken me through years of Zen training in a Rinzai lineage, years of study and practice within an international Hindu organization, time within Eastern Orthodox hesychasm, Pagan Traditions, Spiritualism, Energy Healing, and Reiki, where I've been a master teacher since 2015. About fifteen years ago I helped start a local mediumship group that put on public Seances. I've since spent several years training under Martin Twycross, a well known UK medium. I'm currently studying at the Morris Pratt Institute, studying Ministry, Mediumship, and Healing. That's part of why "spiritualism" belongs in what we're building here alongside more familiar language like meditation and prayer. By trade I'm a licensed massage therapist with over twenty years of clinical experience, and I work in an integrative medicine setting. That's given me a strong respect for the body as part of the spiritual path, not something separate from it. What I bring to teaching isn't a single tradition asking you to leave the others behind. It's someone who has actually lived inside several different maps of reality and come back able to point out where they overlap and where they genuinely diverge. I don't ask anyone here to take my word for anything. I ask people to practice, to pay attention, and to test what's true against their own experience. This group exists for people who want real exploration, not just information. That means we'll talk about meditation and prayer, but we'll also make room for the stranger, older parts of the human spiritual inheritance that most modern teaching leaves out, including mediumship. Wherever you're starting from, whatever tradition or none, you're welcome here. I'm glad you're here, and I'm looking forward to what we build together.
Weekly Circle Check-In: What are you noticing?
Share one observation from your seven-day practice. It can be subtle and ordinary—no dramatic experience is required. Use this format: I practiced ____. I noticed ____. My next small step is ____. When responding to someone else, reflect what you heard or offer encouragement. Please do not interpret their experience or give a reading unless they explicitly request it.
