One of the hardest things I learned after losing everything had nothing to do with rebuilding my life.
It had to do with accepting that my old life was gone.
For a long time, I was in damage-control mode.
I tried to fix conversations.
I tried to fix situations.
I tried to fix a life that had already changed.
Looking back, I realised something painful:
Trying to control the damage wasn't bringing my old life back.
It was simply delaying my healing.
Healing only began when I accepted that I couldn't change what had already happened.
That doesn't mean giving up.
It means choosing where to invest your energy.
Not into yesterday...
but into becoming strong enough for tomorrow.
A question for you:
Have you ever found yourself trying to repair something that was already beyond your control?
What changed when you finally let go?
I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts.
