Self-Assessment: Your Leadership Starting Point
Take a moment to reflect on one (or more) of these questions:
a) When you think of "leaders" in aviation, who comes to mind and why? What specific behaviors make them effective?
b) Recall a flight or operational situation where leadership made the difference between a good outcome and a poor one. What did the leader do specifically?
c) On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your current leadership abilities in
  • Building trust quickly with new crew members
  • Speaking up when you see safety concerns
  • Encouraging others to voice concerns
  • Managing conflicts constructively
  • Making decisions under pressure with team input
d) What's one leadership behavior you want to develop through this series?
Make sure to engage with at least one other member’s post — leadership grows in community!
