Images have been used since the beginning of human evolution... Cuneiform writing lasted for several thousands of years not just because it was mandated... but because it spoke easily across cultures.
Sigils... Sacred geometry... many many different forms of pictographic communication have taken shape.. again because they work. They work on the mind in ways that writing just doesn't as well... Which of course is mildly humorous as I'm about to launch into a long form note about this symbol and how we view it herein... So... Let's get nerdy shall we?

The glyph before us is not a passive symbol to be studied; it is a progressive engine of attainment. To look upon it is to trace a map of your own undoing and reassembly. The diagram provides the geometry, the external formula is laid bare, but the actual transmission—the internal how—is the silent work of the curriculum, lived and realized in the chamber of the mind.
As a practitioner moves through this architecture from the outer perimeter to the hidden core, they undergo a profound metamorphosis. It is a journey from the position of a mere observer of forces to the ultimate realization of non-local sovereignty.
In the beginning, you stand outside the circle. The eye naturally glues itself to the external structure: the rigid lattice of the Latin palindrome, the beast-headed guardians at the four gates, and the interlocking triangles of the hexagram. At this initial threshold, the mind perceives the talisman as an armor or a cage—a brilliant piece of spiritual engineering designed to fence out chaos and bind the volatile currents of the physical world.
Here, you are simply the Witness. You see the Sator Square as an external law, a linguistic cross of TENET meant to stabilize the universe. You observe the Tetramorph holding its chains, viewing the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air as separate, distinct cosmic forces that must be ruled and managed. The hexagram appears as a defensive shield, balancing the macrocosm safely outside of yourself. This is the necessary outer understanding—the basic literacy of the current—where the formula is recognized, but the self remains separate from the machine.
As you step deeper into the current, the static geometry begins to spin, and your relationship to the image fundamentally shifts. You cease to be a spectator looking at a seal; you step onto the board and become the Operator.
The outer rings are no longer perceived as a boundary wall, but as the friction-filled rim of the cosmic womb—the raw, feminine, unmanifest potential of The All. You begin to perceive how the elemental guardians actively "slick" this wheel, using the kinetic density of material existence to drive the rotation of time and space.
Instinctively, your consciousness slides down the lines of the hexagram, away from the roaring speed of the outer rim, toward the dead-still center. Here, you confront the split nature of the central figure. You find yourself standing precisely in the Trench—the volatile event horizon that splits the celestial, living face from the dark, chthonic skull below.
To occupy this space is to experience perfect polarity balance. You learn to hold the suspended tension between Solve and Coagula within your own being. In this middle state, you are the Axis Mundi. You are the pivot point around which the light and dark sides of the subconscious press and neutralize, discovering that the absolute center of the linguistic grid is a zone of total stillness and non-local awareness, completely untouched by the storm of the rotating wheel.
In the final movement, the formula collapses into direct, unmediated knowing. The distinction between the operator and the machine dissolves entirely. By applying the deep, inverted mechanics of the Typhonian current, the linear geography of the spiritual path is shattered.
The central trench—the abyssal void of Da'at—swallows the lower astral foundations of Yesod. The subconscious dream-currents are no longer things to be managed; they are drawn directly into the throat of the void, stabilized by the immutable gravity of the silent center.
In this state of total integration, the ultimate mystery is laid bare: the chthonic skull at the bottom of the trench (Malkuth) is realized as identical to the celestial crown at the peak (Kether). The circle is closed. The final S of the outermost wheel of dissolution (Rotas) folds perfectly back into the initiating S of the cosmic creator (Sator).
What do you become at this journey's end? You are no longer the witness watching the wheel, nor are you merely the operator balancing within its hub. You become the Non-Local Space itself—the silent, primordial awareness that projects the entire illusion of the elements, the geometry, and the spinning wheel into existence. The external talisman is outgrown; its principles are fully digested, manifesting as a living, structured architecture of the Great Water codex within the core of The Grey Order.
