JOURNEYS IN REALITY. COME STROLL WITH US AT YOUR OWN PACE
OUR LEARNING LECTURES AND COMMUNITY. A JOURNEY THROUGH ANCIENT AND MEDIVAL SUNLIGHT When you join and enter the CLASSROOM you will find a series of adventures awaiting. It can appear a little daunting at the start but let's break it down. E copies of the textbook " Introduction to the Study of Numismatics" and of the book "Artifacts of Empire Part I" will be provided as soon as possible. This is $30 value and even if on a monthly program you will still receive them. 1.Coins, Money, India and the Old Silk Road. This is the main lecture series where you can work through our series of lectures based on our textbook. The first simple lecture is the course on steroids and is for people who just wish a brief overview and no more. Here we present a series of lectures based on the book as a guide. We take you through all aspects of numismatics and introduce you to some science. From here you can look at all the other modules but if you are interested in coins and numismatics there is one stream and another stream for Archaeology and Travel. 2.The Copper Coins of Akbar The textbook has a special section on the copper coins of Akbar, chapters 29 and 30. But this is more. Because Tariq and Needham are preparing a major book on this, so collectors of these coins can help with adding data if they note we have made errors or they have new information. 3. The Rupees of Shah Alam I Bahadur The book is written and in print and selling well. Now is the time to update it with any new finds. So we are looking for help. 4. The Coins of Jahandar Shah The same situation as part 3 above. 5. The Coins of Aurangzeb Time to put our basic information out there, ask for help and finish the book. A large and involved volume. 6. The Coins of Farrukhsiyar The same as Aurangzeb. 7. The Coins of the Two Rafis The same as above. Interesting coins from two short lived reigns. 8. The Coins of the Jaunpur Sultanat The same as above. this is the first venture into Sultanat coinage. A wonderful exploration on highly collectable coins.
