introducing myself to the community 🫂 I’m Satoshi’s Mom, artist, builder, and founder of THE DAM i bought my first NFT in 2021, i immediately saw the connection between pokemon cards and nfts, how nfts basically were like collecting pokemon cards but digitally. i fell in love immediately with collecting digital art, collectibles, and dove in head first to the space shortly after i found rarible through Mark Cuban & Gary Vee, i found out about cryptopunks, and was so intrigued by them and inspired as well. so i started making pixel art! i minted my first nft on rarible in early 2021, which is still my pfp to this day! i minted an edition of 7, listed it for .069 eth iirc, and took a walk with a friend. i came back and saw a few sold! i was shocked - those folks who purchased those editions didn’t know at the time but they set me off down this rabbithole of Web3 and digital art even further - i began to make more pixel art, made a ton of friends, and fell in love with this space. i quit my “job” at the time as a consultant and went all in on NFTs, Web3, and digital art. fast fwd to today, and i found my truest purpose in making Web3 education accessible to the world through THE DAM, in lifting up artists through THE DAM, and in preserving this incredibly unique moment for Web3 and digital art as we’re living it, through THE DAM ❤️‍🔥 i feel this skool community is such a perfect place to house everything for THE DAM moving forward, all the future talks, tutorials, live streams, everything - it’s all here in one place. and I’m stoked to learn more about everyone who joins here - to stay in the loop on what everyone’s working on, to support everyone best i can, to do more epic curations, live events, summits, and some incredible stuff we have planned for 2026 (more to come!) so much love -SM
