The Mechanism of Motion
We begin the first webinar with Cranial Motility and Motion. We will look at Primary Respiration as the Mechanism of Motion forming a fluctuating shape for the brain, which in turn moves the dura, the infolding of the dura we call falx (separating right and left hemisphere) and tentorium (tenting over cerebellum), and the cranial bone, giving them their axis of flexion and extension. By creating understanding, we can hold the visual and the movement in our hands, instead of just memorization. Finally, we will examine animating force as the representation of Qi in Chinese Medicine and what that means poetically to the system as a whole.
