Reflections from a Creative Arts Therapy Gathering
Hello Community, Last night I had the opportunity to take part in a monthly Creative Arts Therapy gathering — and it was such a nourishing experience. This modality weaves together mindfulness, creativity, and emotional expression through a holistic lens. It’s not about producing art, but about allowing art to move through you — as a bridge between the inner and outer world. It was incredible to witness how each person connected to the guided meditation and translated their experience into imagery. The pieces that emerged were so personal and symbolic — a reminder of how powerful our subconscious becomes when given space to speak through colour and form. The evening also offered me deep insights into my own state of mind — and into what it truly means to hold space for others in this kind of work. There’s a quiet magic in being both participant and witness, learning to listen not only to what’s said but to what’s expressed through silence and creation. I left feeling grounded, inspired, and more connected to the path I’m on — using art as a language for presence, healing, and truth. 🎨 Have you ever experienced art in this way — as something that reveals what words can’t? Would love to hear your experience with art in a more reflective way, Zoë
