Welcome to The Cleaning Operator. Quick orientation. This community is for cleaning business owners (residential, commercial, Airbnb, doesn't matter) who are tired of guessing at pricing, hiring, and lead generation. The goal here is your first $100K year, built on systems that actually scale, not motivation. I'm Dave. I did $600K last year, 26 teams, 6,000+ cleanings logged. I started solo, charging $25/hour because I didn't know better. Six years and a lot of mistakes later, I built the systems I wish someone had handed me on day one. That's what's inside. Here's what to do in your first 10 minutes: 1. Watch the welcome video (pinned at the top of the classroom; 5 minutes; tells you the order to consume everything). 2. Open the classroom and start "The 7 Numbers Every Cleaning Business Should Know." Free, foundational, ~60 minutes total. If you only do one thing here, do this. 3. Drop an intro in this thread. Reply with:– Your city– Where you're at (W-2 + side hustle, part-time cleaning, full-time solo, or a few hires deep)– The one thing you're stuck on right now 4. Mark your calendar for the next Open Books call. Date is in the calendar tab. I screen-share my actual P&L from one month and answer questions live. A few things to know about how this place runs: → Numbers > opinions. Bring data, yours or mine, when you ask or answer a question. "I think you should charge more" is less useful than "your $/hour is below the median for a 3-bed deep clean. Here's the math." → No lifestyle posts. No motivation posts. No "rise and grind." This isn't that kind of place. Post wins, post failures, post a screenshot of a quote you lost so we can figure out why. → Help each other. The fastest way to learn here is to answer someone else's question. If you've been a member 30 days and never replied to a post, you're missing the point. → Spam, recruiting, and selling tools = ban. This is a working community, not a marketplace. That's it. Drop your intro below. Let's get to work.
